Oak Lawn Library Friends (OLLF)
have completed 12 years of service to the community! Throughout those years, we
have contributed many thousands of dollars to our Branch, to see that niche
needs are met - examples are classic and opera CDs, investment periodicals,
special collection, materials, shelving trucks, racks to shelve the
aforementioned CDs, and goodness knows how much else!
In the current newsletter, mention
of repainting and updating the staff break room is made - this in addition to
cosmetic enhancements to the auditorium, foyer, and children's area. Money is
spent to bring talent to the library for a full and rewarding children's roster
of activities, as outlined in our quarterly newsletter, and we look forward to
the 3rd Annual Art Show, which brings new foot traffic to the branch.
As a member, you are part of one of
the most dynamic and effective "library friends" groups in Texas! If you don't
believe it, ask around and see how many other libraries look to us for
leadership. And underwrite OLLF's work with memorial gifts, honoring births,
deaths, marriages, and just good friendship. Although we hate to lose our
Friends, we'd remember you warmly, if you would remember us in your will.
